Supplementary Regulations for the Test Trial NovBeg

Saturday afternoon series usually held at one of our smaller or easier venues. Sections are set to be easier than our regular clubs trials. All welcome - especially Beginners. Help is also available for first-timers. Also a great opportunity for more experienced riders to get some practice as Observers! Start time: 1pm

 

CLUB MEMBERSHIP - Darwen Trials Club annual membership costs £5 for 2026. Payment can be made when registering for any of our trials - simply tick the Add Membership box on the registration page.

Darwen Trials Club will organise an Open trial for solo motorcycles, held under the Rules of the AMCA, the following Supplementary Regulations and any Final Instructions issued for the meeting. Please take the time to carefully read any specific Safety Procedures and Notes produced by Darwen Trials Club which form part of the Supplementary Regulations. There will also be a Riders Briefing which all riders must attend ten minutes before the official start time.

DIRECTIONS:

From Bradford
Follow the A650 Aire Valley Trunk Road, then the B6265 into Bingley. At the traffic lights by Bingley Fire Station take left to Harden B6429, take first right after mini roundabout in Harden, on to Keighley Road, then third left onto Moor Edge High Side keep on road/track to start area.

From Skipton, Keighley
Follow the A650 Aire Valley Truunk Road through Keighley, then the B6265 into Bingley. Turn right at the traffic lights by Bingley Fire Station onto B6429 to Harden, then as above.

From Halifax
Follow the A629 Keighley Road to Denholme. Turn right at the traffic lights after Denholme onto B6429. Follow this through Cullingworth to Harden. In Harden take left turn into Keighley Road, (just after school on right, but before mini roundabout) then as all others.

No practising on this land without the landowner's permission.

RESULTS: Will be published on the trialmonster.uk website
COURSE: Will comprise one or more laps of a course all on private land. No practising on this land before or after the event. The number of laps and sections will be announced at a riders’ briefing immediately before the event start.
SECTION MARKING AND SCORING: This trial will be a Stop Permitted trial.

Main route (usually Novice) is marked by bLue (Left) and Red (Right) markers with deviations for other routes as follows. Easy route - Pink, Intermediate - White, Expert - Yellow. 

The 50/50 route will ride a combination of Easy and Novice section and will attempt the easier route unless a '50/50' marker is shown at the section 'Begins' cards. The number of sections, laps and any changes will be announced at a briefing ten minutes before the start of the trial.

A machine will be deemed to be in the section when the front wheel spindle has passed the Section Begins card and marks will be awarded until the front wheel spindle has passed the Section Ends card. Marks lost will conform to the Clean-1-2-3-5 system. Further details can be found in the AMCA Trials Rule Book.
